Die Traumdeutung

These drawings explore the interpretation of dreams and the traces they leave behind. Dream images, long after waking, remain inscribed on the faces and bodies of those who carry them, transforming into personal maps of memory, fear, desire and uncertainty.

For this series, charcoal on paper was chosen as the most direct and honest form of expression. Fragile, immediate and rooted in one of the oldest drawing traditions, the medium serves as a simple vehicle for articulating the complex psychological states that inhabit the space between sleeping and waking. Through a reduced visual language, the drawings attempt to capture moments in which identity becomes unstable and inner experience emerges to the surface.

Like dreams themselves, the works unfold in black and white, moving between clarity and ambiguity. The figures appear suspended between presence and disappearance, as if emerging from the unstable territory between dream and waking life.
